September  the 10th could prove to be a great day for Polypipe. This was the day we delivered the new TOYOTA Generation 8 counterbalanced forklifts.

The Generation 8 is available in seven models with load capacities ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes and offers a choice of diesel or LPG engines.

Our sister company Toyota Forklift in South Africa, who are also part of the Imperial Group, have been supplying the Generation 8 to customers in their market for over a year and have extensive experience of the markets acceptance of this model.

Polypipe already have a 200 strong Impact fleet, however following a recent Impact Handling needs analysis, we recommended that the Generation 8 fitted with a speed limiter may offer some benefits in certain areas. The speed limiter restricts the speed depending on the height of the forks, thereby enforcing safer operation. The Generation 8’s more robust panels reduce damage and therefore costs.

Impacts strong and longstanding relationship with Polypipe is based our understanding of their needs and our knowledge of the solutions available. Our solutions approach enables us to be more objective in our recommendations and whilst equipment plays a large part in our service, supplying the right equipment is our strength.
